Second Painting

Another painty sketchy watercolour view onto windows and daytime sun and shade. This is, again, the view of the window and rooftops to our rear. The colours grew bolder and deeper as I worked, almost demanding saturation. It’s a story of outside and inside, and how we never see, by our rear window, any of the life that tends to the pots of basil.

Painting 2 MountAnd as with the first painting, I saw a crop that worked for me also: the lower section’s elements, all blocky and thick and particular, being a little in the way of paintings I’ve loved since a kid.
