Is this process not unlike street photography? The photographer places himself/herself in the midst of a moment in life — makes a split second decision to capture something worthy of remembering or expressing?

Beautiful collage poem from Fisher Lane. There are a number of these refreshing “cut-out” collage poems on Mr. Mitchell’s site.

Somehow the broken spaces around the words fits your verse wonderfully. I absolutely love the idea of ‘unvisited’ do describe anything, but using it for birds is enchanting.

    • Thanks Glyn – very kind of you, I’m glad you liked the presentation as well as the verse. I was recently watching a clip from The History Boys where Richard Griffiths’ character talks with a boy about the role of ‘un’ words in poetry (and in life), and found myself of a mind to go finding one. Cheers for now, Steve

I love this. “A pretty little melancholy” is a great turn of phrase, and “The bones of unvisited birds” is fascinating imagery. Great work here!
