Sam and Walter

Here’s Sam and Walter Mitchell. In 1888, as newly-orphaned brothers in Leeds they were separated by church and workhouse, with an 8-year-old Walter sent to Ontario as was the way back then. I’m the great-grandson of Sam, and tomorrow, 125 years on, I’m meeting Walter’s great-grandson, Andy, in Toronto. Kinda bringing Sam and Walter back together again. Neat, huh?

About Stevie Mitchell

I come from a long line of cartoons and beer. I was once peed on by a tiger. Hoping the resultant super-powers are yet to come, cos if these are they, then, grrrr....
