SATURDAY 12TH OCTOBER 2013 – Moules Farcies
Today we drove to le Castellet, a medieval village out and up from Bandol, prettified and a-buzz with little shops, and with magnificent, unphotographable panoramas of cypress-speared and green tiered hills and fields. As I’ve a thing for taking pictures of doors I thought I’d gather them all up from my Castellet snaps and ‘postcard’ them here like this a bit:
Meanwhile B. took a picture of some rude railings by the church.
In the evening we went to Jean-Marc’s and had the moules farcies he’d been preparing all day. Dee-lish-us. Much can be written about the sourcing and the prep and the cooking and the serve, but with time against me here I’ll post a couple of descriptive pics that go very much like this:
Danse Avec les Stars was on in the background (for there was an interested dancer among us) complete with its mysterious ‘technical hitch’ which meant no-one got the elbow this week.
So that, as it goes, was very mainly Saturday.
